I just realized that I haven’t exactly written detailed posts about the trips I’ve been to for the past two years. Either I’m that busy or I’m just lazy but never mind, I’m here to change that.

The upcoming posts will be about the following trips:

Hong Kong – January 2013
Macau – January 2013
Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh and Mui Ne) – April 2013
Cambodia (Siem Reap) – April 2013
Thailand (Bangkok) – April 2013
Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Penang) – April 2013
Singapore – April 2013
Hong Kong – July 2013
Singapore – January 2014
Japan (Tokyo) – May 2014
Cagayan de Oro City – August 2014
Japan (Kyoto, Osaka and Nara) – January 2015

I know there’s a lot on my plate right now but I really want to share my adventures (and more often than not, misadventures) so I will try my best to complete this…within the year.

Wish me luck!

24 Hours in Kuala Lumpur

I think we only stayed in Kuala Lumpur for 24 hours or less, but it did not stop us from roaming around and getting a glimpse of the city.

At first it seemed impossible, it was already dark when we reached the hotel and we had no idea how to get to Petronas or Menara. We were exhausted from walking and searching for the hotel, but you know what? Sometimes getting lost is a good thing.

Five Countries in Twelve Days? Challenge Accepted.

Brace yourselves for a very long post (or for a lot of posts, rather) — because I finally got my camera from the boyfriend, so I have the photos with me now.

Just an overview, we went to the following countries: Viet Nam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. My colleagues at work think that we spent a fortune for this trip, but honestly speaking, that’s not the case.

Here are two tables I made before the trip, hope this helps those who are interested in touring across Southeast Asia.

To Indochina and Beyond!

My schedule for 2013 is quite jam-packed, with the Hong Kong and Macau trip coming up in January and another Hong Kong trip in July. A few days ago my friends and I had a spur-of-the-moment decision to explore Indochina, so we booked a flight going to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), Vietnam. We don’t have a return ticket yet, but we plan on exiting from Singapore.

We will be covering the following countries and cities:

1. Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne)

2. Cambodia (Phnom Penh and Siem Reap)

3. Thailand (Bangkok)

4. Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor Bahru)

5. Singapore (Singapore City)

I have done my research and I know that it will be a very grueling journey: 6-hour bus and train rides, a bunch of plane rides, and a whole lot of walking. However, I am pretty sure that after this tour, I will experience a sense of fulfillment.

I am beyond excited. In fact, my friends and I are already working on our itinerary. This one needs careful planning.

Wish us luck! :)
