An elderly couple having a quiet picnic in the Imperial Palace Garden, 07 May 2014
I have a love/hate relationship with Spring. I love the weather— it’s not too cold but not too hot either— and the beautiful and colorful blooms that are picture perfect. It could have been great, if only I wasn’t allergic to pollen.
My allergies didn’t stop me from appreciating nature though, especially when I saw dandelions. Yes, yours truly went a little bit cray-cray over these whimsical beauties because 1) they are magical (duh, they grant wishes haha); 2) they remind me of hope and new beginnings (totally ripped that off from The Hunger Games— PS Peeta Mellark, I love you); 3) Olaf (from Frozen) sang about it. I just love anything related to Frozen.
Allergies? What allergies?
We were too late for the blooming of Sakura; however, I consider it a blessing in disguise because I couldn’t imagine myself being surrounded by gazillion flowers. I will either die from immense beauty or immense asthma. I prefer the former.
God, even the leaves were so beautiful! Ergo, a new addition to my collection of Travel Selcas (a.k.a. #selfie):
