I know, I know. We see each other almost every single day. We should be sick of each other’s face by now. Some even say that we’re starting to look alike. (Though in our defense, our features are already similar to begin with.)
We can’t deny the fact, however, that our respective hectic work schedules still get in the way most of the time. Yes, we see each other after work, but it’s not what you will call “quality time”. More often than not, this is our routine: Meet after work (around 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM), tell each other about how our day went while eating dinner (takes about 1-2 hours), we will then go to my place. He will either tell me that he will just drop me off because he’s tired, or he will stay for a bit to take a nap (in which I will wake him up around 10pm because he doesn’t like staying later than that).
Anyway, this is the reason why I’m glad that we had the chance to get away— just the two of us. It was a semi-spontaneous trip, and that’s what makes it more exciting. It’s been a year since our last trip together, albeit with another friend.
I wish our vacation was longer. Four days are not enough to make the most out of Tokyo— I partially blame it on my Plantar Fasciitis, but still. I also wish we brought a monopod. We tried looking for one in Akihabara, but language barrier got in the way. As a result, we didn’t have much photos together. Well, we did but our faces occupied majority of the space. Anyway, there’s always next time.
I’m going to end this post by sharing some of our photos. :)
Good thing my boyfriend’s upper extremities are long!
